girls-toddler-little-lei-dress
Little Lei girl's bungee dress

Little Lei Girl's Bungee Dress — the one that fits her again next summer

Parents buy this dress for a flower girl, a family photo session or a first trip to the islands, and then it stays in rotation because the shirred waist and elastic straps keep fitting as she grows. There's no zip to fight with and no buttons for small fingers to lose — it goes over her head, the back tie cinches it, and she's dressed. Infants get the two-piece version with matching pants underneath, which matters when the wearer is still crawling.

Sizes — 6 Months, 12 Months, 18 Months, 24 Months, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 6X-Large

Infant sizes (6–24 months) — 2-piece set, dress with matching panty, non-elastic shirred empire waist

Toddler and girls' sizes — dress only, elastic shirred empire waist

Straps — elastic bungee style

Closure — self tie, drawstring at the back

Colours — Blue, Fuchsia, Green, Pink, Purple, Turquoise

Fabric — 65% polyester / 35% cotton

Label — Kole Kole, handmade in Hawaii

How This Fits

The shirred empire waist and elastic straps do the sizing work, so there's more give here than in a structured dress — order her usual size and the back drawstring takes up the rest. If she's between sizes or you want a second season out of it, go up one: the straps shorten and the waist gathers to suit. Note the split in construction — 6 to 24 months arrives as a two-piece with matching pants and a shirred waist that isn't elasticated, while toddler and girls' sizes are the dress on its own with an elastic waist.

Wear It For

Flower girl duty at a beach ceremony, family portrait mornings, lu'au dinners, Easter and Mother's Day, and the everyday running-around that follows. The polyester-cotton blend takes a shave ice spill and a wash cycle better than a pure cotton party dress does.

Care

Machine wash cold and tumble on low. The blend keeps its shape and won't shrink the way all-cotton does, so the shirring stays where it should. A cool iron on the skirt if it needs it — keep the iron off the elastic straps.

Why Shop MauiShirts?

Selling Hawaiian clothing from our Maui showroom since 1998 — 28 years

Six colours stocked from infant through girls', not one token size run

We'll talk you through kids' sizing before you order, not after

Free shipping to anywhere in the USA and its territories — no minimum order.
