The first is a man who takes a 3X or 4X and is tired of being told the print he wants stops at XL. The second is a couple who want to turn up to the same dinner in the same print without it looking like a costume. Both get looked after here: the size run goes to 4X, and there's a women's camp shirt cut from the identical print.

Sizes — Small, Medium, Large, X-Large, 2X-Large, 3X-Large, 4X-Large

Fit — loose fit, worn untucked

Colours — Royal Blue, Black, Red

Fabric — 100% rayon, made in Hawaii USA

Details — notched collar, matched pocket, bamboo wood buttons, French placket, yoke with side pleats, straight bottom hem

Label — Paradise Found

How This Fits

This shirt runs large for most people. If you're between sizes, take the smaller one. If you normally buy a Large off a mainland rack and want a trim look, try the Medium first. The cut is deliberately loose through the chest and body, so the shirt hangs off the shoulders rather than following them — rayon adds to that, falling straight instead of standing away like cotton. Straight bottom hem means it's built to be worn out; tucked in, the side pleats bunch at the waistband.

Wear It For

Anniversary dinners where you and your wife are matching on purpose. Resort restaurants with a collar requirement. Cruise nights, birthday lu'aus, and the Friday aloha-shirt rule at the office — the black in particular reads dressed-up rather than vacation.

Coordinating Pieces

The Heliconia print is also cut as a women's rayon camp shirt. Order the pair together and the two shirts come from the same print run, which is what keeps the colour honest in photographs. Ordering them months apart is where couples get caught out.

Care

Cold wash or dry clean, hang to dry, warm iron if needed. What should I order? Most men in that spot are happiest in the Large here, because this cut runs large. If you want extra room through the middle, stay at XL.

Can my wife get the same print? Yes — there's a women's rayon camp shirt in Heliconia. Order both at once so the colours match.

Is 4X genuinely a 4X, or a stretched 2X? It's a real 4X in a loose cut, so it wears bigger than the tag suggests.
