The straps slide, so you can let them out over a summer instead of buying a second dress in August. The smocked back stretches, which means it stays on a narrow-shouldered child without gapping and still fits a few months later.

Sizes — 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, plus 6X-Large

Straps — adjustable slide straps

Back — smocked, so it gives as she grows

Hem — ruffle bottom

Colours — Aqua, Pink

Fabric — 100% rayon, made in Hawaii

Label — Kole Kole by RJC

How This Fits

Sized by child's age for the smaller numbers and by girls' size through 16. Because the back is smocked and the straps slide, this dress covers more of a growth spurt than a fixed-strap sundress does — if you're ordering ahead for a trip a few months out, take the next size up and shorten the straps. Rayon hangs close and soft rather than standing away from the body, so a size that measures right will look right; there's no stiffness to grow into. The ruffle hem sits below the knee on most girls at their true size.

Wear It For

Flower girl duty at a beach ceremony, Easter and school programmes, luau nights, cruise dining rooms where shorts won't pass, and the whole hot stretch of a Hawaii holiday. It's cool enough to wear straight through a humid afternoon and tidy enough for photographs afterwards.

Care

Rayon: cold wash on gentle or dry clean, hang to dry, warm iron. Keep it out of a hot dryer — heat is what shrinks rayon and puckers the smocking.

Why Shop MauiShirts?

Shipping Hawaiian clothing from our Maui showroom since 1998 — 28 years

Sizes 2 through 16 in one print, so sisters and cousins can match

Ask us about fit before you order — a person answers

Free shipping to anywhere in the USA and its territories — no minimum order.
