This one runs the full ladder to 6X-Large in the same three colours, so the guy who takes a 5X gets the same shirt as everyone else at the table — not a substitute print in the only size the warehouse had. It's cut loose, worn out, and it moves air, which is the point of a rayon aloha shirt in July.

Sizes — Small, Medium, Large, X-Large, 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X, 6X

Fit — loose cut, straight bottom hem, worn untucked

Colours — Black, Navy, Sage

Fabric — 100% rayon, made in Hawaii USA

Details — notched collar, matched pocket, bamboo wood buttons, French placket, yoke with side pleats

How This Fits

This shirt runs large for most people. If you are between sizes, take the smaller one — going up will get you a shirt that hangs off the shoulders. The cut is deliberately loose through the body rather than tapered, and the straight hem is meant to be left out; tuck it and the side pleats bunch at the waistband. Rayon falls closer to the body than cotton, so it reads less boxy on the frame than the measurements suggest.

Wear It For

Anniversary dinners where your wife wants a photo that matches, Friday aloha wear in an office that still expects a collar, birthday lu'aus, and cruise nights when a jacket is out of the question. Black and Navy carry a dark-print evening look; Sage is the one people wear in daylight.

Care

Cold wash or dry clean. Hang to dry — never a hot dryer, which is how rayon shrinks and stays shrunk.
