The bottom band sits below the waistline and holds the hem in place, so the body of the shirt hangs loose instead of pulling tight when you sit down or reach up. It's cotton, so it washes without fuss and wears cool through a hot afternoon. We stock it in regular and plus sizes, which is the reason most of these leave the showroom.

Sizing — regular and plus sizes

Fit — full-size camp shirt, worn out over the band

Hem — bottom band, straight finish

Fabric — 100% cotton, made in Hawaii

Label — RJC, Shannon Marie

How This Fits

A camp shirt is cut straight through the body rather than shaped at the waist, so it forgives a fuller midsection. The bottom band anchors the hem and keeps the shirt from riding up over a skirt or shorts. If you want it to skim rather than drape, take your usual size; if you like room through the shoulders and arms, go up one. Because we carry regular and plus in the same shirt, call us with your bust measurement before you order and we'll tell you which side of the range you sit on.

Wear It For

Everyday wear in humidity, market mornings, lanai lunches, casual Fridays, and travel days when you want cotton against your skin rather than a synthetic. It also works as a matching family piece — parents in cotton camp shirts, keiki in the same print, no one fussing with buttons in the heat.

Care

Cold machine wash, tumble dry low or hang. Cotton will tighten up slightly on a hot cycle, so keep the heat down and the fit stays where you bought it. Warm iron if you want the band crisp.

Why Shop MauiShirts?

28 years selling Hawaiian clothing from our Maui showroom, since 1998

Regular and plus sizes stocked in the same shirt, not one or the other

We'll check a measurement against the size chart before you order

Free shipping to anywhere in the USA and its territories — no minimum order.
