Kaimana Beach is in Waikiki, Oahu. An hotel has a similar name. When on the beach take a short walk toward Diamond Head. With the Kapiolani Park on your left you will get to Kaimana Beach. It is located between the War Memorial Natatorium and the New Otani Kaimana Beach Hotel.
Kaimana Beach is a wide beach. Many Waikiki beaches are narrow. The beach is fun for the entire family. Locals use this beach. It is protected by a wide reef and the near shore ocean bottom is shallow and sandy. The beach is also a favorite point to enter the ocean by surfers, who paddle out to surf at the popular surf spot named "Old Man's".
An historic note: Kaimana Beach is the place where on December 28, 1902, the steamship Silvertown anchored after its 12 day sail from San Francisco, California. The cable was brought ashore through the Kapua Channel at Kaimana Beach, in a canoe steered by David Pi'ikoi Kahanamoku, an uncle of Duke Kahanamoku. Duke Kahanamoku is one of the most revered Hawaiian surfers of our generation.
This cable was the first telegraphic link between Hawaii and the U.S. mainland. The first message was sent to President Theodore Roosevelt in Washington D.C. on January 1, 1903. Some remains of this cable, abandoned in 1951, still lie on the ocean floor in the channel at Kaimana Beach. Newer communication systems have replaced the cable.
Swimming Tip: The currents can be very strong, especially after high tide when the water is flowing out. Don't hesitate to ask the lifeguard on the beach if you're not sure about the tides. Wear fins if you plan to swim out into the channel.
Kaimana is also the name of a small port town and airport in West Papua, Indonesia.

LENGTH is the measurement from the top middle of the collar to the bottom of the shirt.
SHIRT CHEST is the circumference measurement determined by adding the back and front. The measurement is taken from under the armpits from seam to seam.
