In the water
HIC boardshorts come in 8-way stretch, quick dry and microsuede fabrics, in lengths from 19 to 23.5 inches. If you want a liner, the Kaanapali Beach and Maui Hibiscus swim trunks have mesh liners.
On land
HIC's Mauna Kea cargo walk short and Chiba Chino walk short go to a 60 inch waist. RJC's Waikiki cargo shorts and HIC's printed cargo shorts (Tiki Bar, Monstera Montage, Orange Orchid Pale Ale) are sized Small to 3X or 4X-Large.
For something dressier, Paradise Found's herringbone shorts are 72% silk, in black, khaki, sage green and slate blue. Palaka Plantation paniolo shorts come in the classic Hawaii work-cloth check.
Sizing
Numbered sizes are waist measurements in inches. Lettered sizes vary by brand, so measure a pair you like across the waistband and email the number to jz@MauiShirts.com if you're unsure.
Common questions
What length boardshorts should I get?
Go by the outseam number in the name. A 19 or 20 inch short sits above or around the knee on most men, and a 21 to 23.5 inch short lands at the knee or a little below.
Do you have men's shorts in a 50 inch waist or bigger?
Yes. Several HIC boardshorts and walk shorts, including Mauna Kea, Chiba Chino, Backyards and Kalama, go up to a 60 inch waist.
