What is a muumuu?
A muumuu is a loose Hawaiian dress that hangs from the shoulders with no fitted waist. It goes on over your head, moves with you, and stays cool on a hot afternoon. People wear them to luau, to church, to the grocery store, and around the house.
The ones in stock right now
RJC's Tropical Summer, Pineapple Hibiscus and Rainbow Plumeria muumuus are the ones we carry deepest. Pineapple Hibiscus is cotton with a side pocket and pulls on over your head, so you can wash it as often as you wear it. All three come in sizes from Small to 3X Plus, and Rainbow Plumeria adds a 4X Plus.

Sizing a muumuu
Because a muumuu is cut loose, most women order their usual size. Hawaiian brands don't share a size chart. If you're between sizes or trying a new label, measure the bust and length of a dress that fits you well and send them to jz@MauiShirts.com.
Common questions
What is the difference between a muumuu and a holoku?
A muumuu is a loose, comfortable everyday dress. A holoku is the more formal, fitted Hawaiian gown, often with a train, worn for special occasions.
Do muumuus come in plus sizes?
Yes. The RJC muumuus we stock run Small to 3X Plus, and Rainbow Plumeria goes to 4X Plus.
Are your muumuus made in Hawaii?
Not all of them. RJC's Pineapple Hibiscus muumuu, for example, is cotton made in the USA. The Fabric line on each product page says where that dress was made.
How do I choose the right size Hawaiian dress?
Every Hawaiian brand sizes a little differently. Measure the bust and length of a dress you already like, email the numbers to jz@MauiShirts.com, and we'll recommend a size.
